Welcome to the American University of Phnom Penh, founder of the Center for Leadership and Professional Development
The American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) is the only university in Cambodia that meets American educational standards. Determined to follow the American education model, the university started its first Bachelor’s degree courses in 2013. It now offers a total of 12 different majors including business, law, and architecture.
The AUPP is also the only university in the country that offers American accredited dual degrees. Graduates earn two degrees upon completion of their studies. The first comes from the AUPP and the second is delivered by one of our partner universities in the USA. These programs are delivered by our top-quality postgraduate professors. All have teaching experiences and backgrounds in western countries such as the USA, UK, and Canada.
The university is founded on seven core principles that guide its faculty, staff, and students. These principles are:
- Academic freedom
- Continuous improvement and accountability
- Diversity, equity, and cultural heritage
- Leadership and integrity
- Life-long learning
- Social responsibility
The creation of the Center of Leadership and Professional Development (CLPD) was grounded on these principles, especially the sixth principle: life-long learning. We strive to provide professional world-class development opportunities to our community, making it our first and foremost mission.
