CLPD Administration Team
Guido Gianasso, PhD
Guido Gianasso is a leading HR and global leadership expert. He held several senior positions in Asia, Europe and the United States and worked for the World Bank, United Nations and several multi-national organisations. Before founding the CLPD and leading the CLPD training team, Dr. Gianasso was the Global Director of the Career Development Center of INSEAD, one of the top business school in the world. He was previously the Chief Human Resource Officer of SICPA, a Swiss leading security company. From 2003 to 2013 he was the Vice President of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Managing Director of the IATA Training and Development Institute (ITDI), overseeing the training of 50,000 aviation professionals every year. Dr. Gianasso is currently an associate professor of global leadership with the Division of Strategy, Management and Organization, and an associate dean at Nanyang Business School in Singapore. In addition to his consulting and teaching activities, he is the Honorary Consul of Romania in Geneva, Switzerland. A Swiss – Italian national, Dr. Gianasso holds a PhD in Management from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Geneva and is a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program.
Deputy Director, CLPD
William Naramore is an academic management professional that has been working in Cambodia for over 7 years. He has worked in a variety of leadership roles including CEO, Program Director, Project Manager, and Academic Dean with organizations such as Global Education and Training, Home of English International, and New Life Foundation. He has had experience launching several new start-up organizations in Cambodia in education, food and beverage, and non-profit sectors. He is an entrepreneur himself and is also fluent in the Khmer language. Mr. Naramore holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management and Ethics from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. He is an American national from New York State.
Ismail Albaidhani, PhD
Senior Advisor, CLPD
Ismail Albaidhani is an international expert in the human and organizational performance area. He served as the Director of ISO Academy responsible for global capacity building, technical assistance, learning and research as part of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) head office in Geneva, Switzerland. He was also part of the ISO Senior Management Team, participating in a wide range of strategic initiatives. Prior to ISO, he headed the IATA Development Institute as part of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and led its global partnerships & innovation portfolios in Montreal, Canada. He is currently a member of the board of directors in an International Education Network in Canada leading its Project Management Office with 100 education technology and capacity building projects in the private, public and educational sectors within North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Mr. Albaidhani is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and served as a member of boards and international expert in the Project Management Institute (PMI), the United Nations, and served as a scientific committee member of University of Geneva. He holds higher education degrees (MBA & Ph.D.) in Economics and International Business Management from the University of Geneva and University of Quebec.

Alan Wark, PhD
Dr. Alan Wark is a graduate of Appalachian State University (ASU). His areas of expertise include leadership, program management, and aviation project management. He has over 20 years of global consulting experience with government, military, and private enterprises. Dr. Alan is an Associate Professor of Business at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP). He previously served as a leadership consultant for US Congressional committees, foreign military aviation training centers, and private businesses in the USA, Asia, and the Middle East. Today he provides businesses and entrepreneurs assistance in successfully scaling their operations.
Thomas Carnahan, PhD
Thomas J. Carnahan, PhD (Capella University, 2007) is a Human Resources and Hospitality expert. He has 15 years of industry experience in the public and private sector working with government and service organizations; specifically the US Department of Defense, various public safety departments in the United States, a multitude of hotels/restaurants and globally with FedEx Express. His projects and research are mostly related to the employee life cycle (recruitment, selection and retention). He is the former Chief Science Officer of Nfoshare (an employee engagement company) and HR Business Strategist to the Vice President of Human Resources at FedEx Express. His work has received three Federal Department of Defense awards for excellence as well as a multitude of individual and team awards at FedEx Express.
Currently, Dr. Carnahan is a Professor of Business and Statistics at American University of Phnom Penh. His doctoral dissertation focused on developing a new statistic for determining interrater reliability for structured interviews and his master’s thesis focused on how participant self-selection is influenced by both the participants’ personality and the wording of the recruitment advertisement. He is originally from the United States but currently calls Phnom Penh home. If you take a class with Dr. Carnahan, be prepared to laugh; because, as a former stand-up comedian, he strongly believes that laughter is the best way to engage an audience!
Steven Graham is the Director of the English Preparatory Program at the American University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia and the Chairman and founding member of Udon Education Foundation in Udon Thani, Thailand. Originally from UK, Steven has spent the previous fifteen years before coming to Cambodia in Thailand, predominantly in the tertiary education sector teaching English to speakers of other languages, but also conducting research into rural primary education. Conducting research in tandem with a registered charity allows for real progress from the bottom up, allowing educational development based on sound research and a scaffolded implementation process for teachers in their classrooms.
Currently, Steven is in his final year as a doctoral researcher with the Open University in UK, having obtained his Master’s Degree from Sheffield Hallam University, UK. His main interests are in English for Specific Purposes, English for Academic Purposes, teacher training and primary school teaching and learning materials. Steven has published extensively and is a frequent presenter at national seminars in Cambodia and international conferences around the world. He reviews books and has also been a regular contributor to the Bangkok Post newspaper in Thailand.
Since graduating from the ISF major in 2011, Pat scaled a startup BPO firm that specializes in the luxury goods market into the European marketplace as a Global Business Development Manager. This allowed for plenty of travel while he was tasked with opening new offices abroad. He then became the Managing Director for the company’s European subsidiary, advising the board of directors for the domestic firm. By identifying the right countries for growth while prioritizing work-life balance for future employees, Pat focused the company on factors beyond profitability.
Presently, after pursuing an advanced dual degree in international affairs at Sciences Po in France and the London School of Economics, he is now an adjunct instructor for the American University of Phnom Penh.
David Moser, JD
David Moser is an Associate Professor of Law at American University of Phnom Penh. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree and a law degree (J.D.) from the University of Memphis. Before joining AUPP in 2015, Moser spent 5 years teaching business law in China. He also taught at Middle Tennessee State University and Belmont University in the USA, was a visiting scholar at Lingnan University in Hong Kong, and a Fulbright Scholar in the Philippines.
As an attorney in the United States, Moser specialized in intellectual property and entertainment law, mostly representing clients in the music industry. He is the author of Music Copyright Law published by Cengage Learning and various articles on copyright law and the entertainment business. Moser has also taught Continuing Legal Education seminars for attorneys in the United States on intellectual property and entertainment law topics and taught an online course on copyright law through the UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) extension program.
In his spare time, Dr. Moser enjoys reading, movies, music, traveling and photography. He has traveled extensively through China and the Philippines and looks forward to exploring much more of Cambodia in the near future.
Dennis Ichikawa, JD
Dennis Ichikawa is a lawyer who was born and raised in America (Seattle, Washington). After 14 years in trial practice, Dennis received a Kellogg Foundation National Advanced Fellowship. Following the year-long fellowship Dennis left law practice to work as an ombudsman for the State of Washington. This led Dennis to begin a career more discreetly focused on policy and leadership with a national foundation and then with Maricopa County (Phoenix, Arizona). Dennis then moved to Cambodia where he started an employment services business and began lecturing at AUPP before joining the university full-time. (Dennis has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Michigan and University of Washington law schools.)
After four years in Cambodia Dennis has recently returned to the States, but he continues to stay connected with CLPD teaching online from abroad.
Peter Chandra, PhD
Dr. Peter Chandra is a leadership and business strategy specialist. He has held numerous senior level positions at many large publicly traded companies around the world as well as several prestigious organizations including British Airways and Hewlett Packard. In addition to Dr. Chandra’s extensive consulting experience he was also an adviser to The Prince’s (Prince of Wales) Trust in the UK. He is used to the challenges of multi-cultural environments, with 25 years’ experience as a Trainer, Consultant, Director, CEO, and Chairman for both for-profit and non-profit organizations in the UK, Australia, and South-East Asia
Holding a PhD in Sociology of Education, Dr. Peter Chandra is the CLPD expert for all training concerning teamwork, project management, board governance, leadership, business performance, and business strategy. Peter is currently the Managing Director for Strategy4 Pty Ltd, a consulting firm based in Melbourne Australia. His vast experiences across varying sectors has given him a depth of expertise in leadership, project management, and strategic thinking.
Laurent holds a master in Marketing & Sales from France. He has acquired more of 18 years of working experience in South-East Asia (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam) at various business development and management positions in multicultural environments. His core expertise includes financial and business management, strategy, business development and networking, client servicing, PR & communication as well as staff training & mentoring. Laurent is regarded as an upstanding, dedicated and highly motivated professional to provide superior insight and service to his clients. He has been able to significantly grow the different companies he worked for, both in terms of revenue and net profit. During his last tenure as Managing Director of Brains Communication, he successfully initiated and implemented the merger with another local agency, doubling the size and revenue of the company. Laurent is also a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer and regularly coaches Crossfit at a local gym.

Kenneth Dunn, JD
President Kenneth Dunn brings to AUPP a long history of experience as a professor, administrator, Fulbright scholar and educational strategic planner. President Dunn is a co-founder of the American University of Phnom Penh, a culmination of over 20 years of experience in higher education in Cambodia. While he has been working in higher education in the U.S. for the majority of his professional career, he has focused much of his efforts in higher education development in Cambodia with support from several Fulbright awards and grants. Kenneth Dunn has dedicated the last five years to establishing a high quality university that serves Cambodia and all of Southeast Asia. Through countless trips between the US and Cambodia, he has worked tirelessly to help bring U.S. accredited dual degree programs to AUPP.
Sandra D’Amico is a highly influential entrepreneur and HR expert that has years of professional business experience around the globe. She is the founder and CEO of HRINC, a leading HR consulting company in Cambodia and Myanmar. Ms. D’Amico is also the Vice President of the Cambodian Federation of Employers and Business Associations (CAMFEBA) which has allowed her high level of expertise in business to have a profound impact in the Cambodian business community. Prior to her work in Cambodia she held a consulting role at Bain and Company (one of the world’s leading business consulting firms) in South Africa where she worked with both public and private sector organizations. Sandra is a South African national and is interested in sustainable and profitable business initiatives with social foundations.

Valuing creativity in all things, Axel Thizon joined the CLPD team to provide his Marketing expertise, more specifically in Digital & Content Marketing. Coming from France but now in Cambodia for 3 years, Mr. Thizon has been a Country Manager, Business Development Manager, and a Content Manager. His depth of knowledge of the Khmer nation allows him to develop the necessary plans to reach out to the local community and be in tune with its spirit, ideas, and challenges.
